Hi, I’m Carly

When I began to travel, I thought I was traveling to escape life; I found that I was actually expanding it. As I gained more confidence in my ability to create amazing travel experiences with my husband, I began to include travel with my children. Considering a variety of needs, abilities, and interests helped me hone my skills in creating journeys that we all enjoyed. I then began to create experiences for friends and family.  

On the occasions when I was traveling with girl friends, I found that when women travel together, something shifts. Walls drop. Laughter comes more freely. Stories that often stay in the recesses of our minds are shared.  Most importantly, deeper connections are made.

One of the biggest challenges I have found is to find friends with not only the same interest in travel, but also similar availability and budget. I was struggling to get the trip out of the group chat. Life is busy for everyone, but I think we all deserve a little time for exploration. In my frustration with hitting these constant roadblocks that kept me from experiences with friends, the idea for Wanderess was born.  

My hope for this business is to create lifelong memories and connections for women while safely exploring the world around them. I want to give them a thoughtfully curated experience where the big decisions are made, meaning all they need to do is show up. The fun will follow.
